Ira...

did you know that you're quoted in the Fodor's 2006 Italy book?

PalQ Aug 7th, 2006 08:37 AM

I wonder what Ira's 'cut' will be for this?

tcreath Aug 7th, 2006 08:45 AM

I have several new Fodor's guidebooks, and there are quotes from Fodorites at the beginning of each chapter in each book I have. I always read them first, before I actually start reading the book!

It is a Napoli quote. I'll look it up when I get home.

ira Aug 7th, 2006 08:49 AM

Thank you, trav.

I didn't know.

Can I know print calling cards marked "Travel Writer"? :)

((I))

Christina Aug 7th, 2006 08:57 AM

no, you can't. I have been interviewed as man on the street a few times (even in Paris once at a movie premiere), or for a newspaper article, and been quoted, and that didn't make me a journalist or TV reporter.

travellerwannabe Aug 7th, 2006 08:59 AM

Yes but this one actually said "Ira" ;)

Scarlett Aug 7th, 2006 09:00 AM

LOL ira, and add to that a Humorist !

peppermintpatti Aug 7th, 2006 09:11 AM

Ira, How 'bout "World renowned travel consultant"?

Shalott Aug 7th, 2006 09:26 AM

It seems there is a whole group of world reknowned travel consultants, not to take anything away from Ira and his Italy expertise.

Wow Christina, you don't pick up on subtle humour very easily do you?

Myer Aug 7th, 2006 09:40 AM

Actually, it had nothing to do with Italy or Ira.

Communication got cut off in mid-sentence(word) and was supposed to be Iraq or Iran. I don't remember which.

bardo1 Aug 7th, 2006 09:50 AM

<i>Can I know print calling cards marked &quot;Travel Writer&quot;? </i>

You may knot.

travellerwannabe Aug 7th, 2006 10:29 AM

I don't get Myer's response

PalQ Aug 7th, 2006 10:31 AM

drop the q from Iraq or the n from Iran and you get: Ira

travellerwannabe Aug 7th, 2006 10:33 AM

I got that much, I just don't get the joke i guess

SuzieC Aug 7th, 2006 10:35 AM
