Intimate Strangers - French movie

Today I saw a really good movie (in French, Confidences Trop Intimes) starring Fabrice Luchini and Sandrine Bonnaire.

It is a character study where nothing happens yet everything happens. A movie of adult lonliness, longing and renewal. It has some very funny scenes too, I think I will go see it again.

SeaUrchin, I saw that film a few weeks ago. I'm a big Bonnaire fan, one of France's best actresses and I met her a few years ago at another French Film festival here in Boston at our Museum. At that time it was the film La ceremonie. She autographed my poster.

if you haven't seen her striking earliet film, you must. the tragic "La Vagabond."

Yes, I agree, it's a wonderful film. I saw it 3 weeks ago. Fabrice Luchini - what a performance.
Understatement - sometimes saying less rather than more is exactly what's needed. This is something so lacking in Israeli culture of today, that to me this movie is everything I miss in living away from Europe.

Yes, I really like her too, I wish I had her bone structure as well.

The acting was supurb. It is so nice to be lifted up by an excellent cast, where you can sit back and know they will not fail in their art, to me that is what makes a great movie. Yes, understatement. Loved the receptionist too.
