Interrail in september
My boyfriend and i were planning to travel europe via interrail for 2weeks-month depending on money. We thought we would get a cheap flight to istanbul and make our way back home to england from there.
Just wanted to know what the must see places are? how many countries would be manageable and not a burden within the time? Which countries are the cheaper maybe more different/interesting places to go to? We are both 20yrs old and students so money is an issue. But we both like being active, going out at night and i enjoy museums/galleries (so maybe a suggestion for any must sees as i dont want to drag my bf around too many places!). But places of natural beauty are wanted by both of us so we dont want to be restricted to just cities! Sorry theres so many questions, but there are so many things we want to do and would just like some help! thank you! |
Sounds like a great opportunity!
I think you should go to the library or book store and look through the "Destinations" tab on this website, and start researching to narrow down your interests and figure out what YOU feel are must places to visit. Then, come back and ask for some feedback on your list, additonal input and for help with logistics. Think about specific destinations (cities, areas, sights) rather than countries. You may find enough in just a few countries to make your trip rewarding. By narrowing down your priorities with added input from this forum, you also will be better able to determine the amount of time you will be traveling. |

As mentioned above, there are many ways you could travel from Istanbul to England. A good start to your trip might be Istanbul - Budapest - Bratislava - Vienna - Prague. Then you can move on to Germany and decide if you want to go through France or stay north and see Belgium, Netherlands, etc.
