Internship abroad, and wondering where to visit

I will be spending over two months in London this summer for a college internship. I will have three days a week off to travel in London or visit other places. I want to see everything that I possibly can, so does anyone have any suggestions on the must see places?

See www,ryanair.com - - see eight different countries or areas within countries, in eight different 3-day getaways.

Best wishes,

Rex
It's very easy and cheap to fly around Europe these days, and you'll find that flying to some other country will often be no more expensive than staying in the UK.

check out the cheap flight deals, but book early for the best prices. Try Ryanair, easyjet, go, buzz, virgin expree, bmibaby

Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels, Edinburgh and Dublin are only 1 hour's flight away. Italy is in reach in 2 hours.

If you've got the cash, you really could explore Europe. But don't miss seeing a little of the UK.

Good suggestions..but don't forget to see a little of England outside of London. Here are some obvious recommendations:

Windsor
Oxford
Cambr idge
Bath
Cotswolds
Stratford Upon Avon
York

And the rest of the UK - Wales, Scotland, Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland - all easily accessible by train/ferry or plane.

Just to add one more to your list ... Bruges/Brugge, Belgium.

http://www.bruges.to/ (the pix are fuzzy, but good info)
http://www.brugge.be/toerisme/en/index.htm
http://www.brugge.be/Verblijf/en/gastene.htm (listing of B&Bs)

A delightful place and an easy visit from London. It is one of the two cultural capitals of Europe for 2002, hosting a large number of special events for the year.

What a great opportunity for you ... I hope that your summer is terrific!

Oh, heavens, you can even take the Chunnel to Paris and then travel into the rest of France & Europe by rail if you like. Possibilities are almost endless! Your internship sounds great; enjoy having Europe at your disposal!

BC
