Internet Access in Thessaly

Hi. Anyone know what kind of internet access will be available to us during an upcoming trip to Thessaly and the Pelion? Thanks a million...

Pretty sure there would be internet cafes in Volos, not sure about the villages however.

Thanks for the response. Volos is a good choice. I was hoping that someone might know of actual locations on the Pelion itself. Either internet cafes or some kind of wireless connection. I gather this is not a popular topic for this region?

Wow. What a fantastic Web site. Thanks. I see there may actually be one spot on the Pelion. Very helpful.

If you are bringing a laptop on your trip, go to a Germanos store (cell phones and similar gadgets) or an OTE (phone company) store and ask for a 15 euro "Smile and Web" card. Make sure you get the 15 euro card since it offers the most value.

The card will come with instructions for installing the dial up connection on your computer. This will give you plenty of internet time for your trip - just hook up the computer to the phone jack in your room, connect and you are set.

You will also be able to use the same card for very cheap calls to the States from any phone (including the phone in your hotel room).
