Hi db,

Go to http://www.aaasouth.com/travel_drivers.asp#idp

It will give you a list of countries that require the IDP.

dba - you might want to check with your rental car company. Many will not let you rent a car if you are going to Poland or the Czech Republic.

Is there another easy way to go from Dresden to Prague or Zgorzelec

julie_Colorado Nov 30th, 2005 10:36 AM

Dresden to Prague is quite simple by train...

We always get an IDP if we are driving in countries where English is not the primary language. One would not need an IDP in the UK or Ireland, but in most other European countries I feel the $10 fee for the IDP is justified as I feel safer carrying one.

GET IT! It is only $10 at AAA. I was in Spain and speak fluent Spanish, when the guy wanted to impound my car because the CHIEF of police SAID SO. It is an interpretation that you do not want to go through at all. My result the person at the store where we were buying things at drove me to the Expressway and away we went. it was a close call.
