International Currency Trivia

For those of you interested in such things, both the euro and pound have been dropping in recent weeks....

The pound is down to just above $1.50 after spending the last two or so year hovering right around $1.60

The euro is down to just above $1.30 and it too has been falling in recent weeks.

(All this is against the US$ which has also gained a few cents against the Canadian dollar where the currencies had trade at just about par for the last little while with the CAD a tad higher than the USD, right now the CAD is down to $0.974..

Of course, as always, the caveat is that currencies rise and fall in what seems a never ending cycle. But this will make European travel for Americans a little cheaper right now.

I can almost guarantee the euro will be much stronger in mid-June as that is when I will be in Ireland. Sigh.
