Interlaken/Lauterbrunnen to Bellagio
 

In mid April, I will be leaving either Interlaken or Lauterbrunnen and will end up in Bellagio. I am having a bit of trouble using the train schedules to see what might be the best/fastest route. I imagine I might have to take the ferry/bus along the way. I don't know if I should return to a major city hub such as Bern or should I be going through Milan or Lugano. All your help is appreciated. If going through a pretty mountain route is a relatively fast alternative, that works too.

Can anyone give me a little guidance on getting from Interlaken to Bellagio? Is there a decent way so it does not become an all day affair between trains and bus?

How about a boat? It is 5 1/2 hours from Interlaken to Varenna (via Spiez and Milan); take the ferry from there.

Hoping someone can give guidance as to a good way to go by train from Interlaken area to Bellagio area. I prefer not to take entire route by boat.

I think enzian meant to take the train from Interlaken to Varenna. Then take a ferry from there to Bellagio.

You can get off the train in lugano and take a bus to Menaggio, then a ferry to Bellagio.
