Interlaken area (not interlaken) hotels 3+ stars

Please name specific hotels/chalets/b&b's that you've liked in Thun, Murren, Wengen, etc (the alternative towns to Interlaken)

We are looking for 3 star and higher and love good breakfast. I saw Congress Hotel Seepark, Bellevue Au Lac...

thanks.

Hi ebuni,

I've stayed at the 3-star Hotel Alpenrose in Wengen two times and adore it:

Have fun as you plan!

@swandav, Thank so much. Did you find Wengen to be difficult to get to the other mountain towns? I haven't planned my itinerary too much yes but I definitely want to be somewhere accessible.

We had a lovely stay at the Seiler Au Lac in Bonigen on Lake Brienz - excellent food, beautiful location, very pleasant and helpful staff.

Hi again,

No, it's quite easy to get around using trains & the occasional cable car.

I'm usually there to ski, and I end up hopping all over the valley during the week.

Have fun!

Thanks swandav, we will be there in the summer. Alpenrose does look great(and I see good things written about the food- this is important) but I would love to be somewhere with a pool. Still thinking
