interesting problem..any suggestions re;paris hotel

unfortunately while fiddling around on priceline.com my wife accidentally booked a hotel from oct-15th to oct 19th at the sofitel rive gauche (a 4 star hotel supposedly) for $175 per night. we can't use the reservation...any suggestions?

Hi

Have you contacted the priceline people? If that doesn't work call your credit card company and tell them your child did it. If that doesn't work, you and your wife might as well go to Paris.

http://airtravelcenter.com/onetrav.htm has RT from JFK for $406.

I'd say ebay, or offer it on lots of message boards at a discount, assuming it's transferrable
But you'd need a better heading:
perhaps, Paris Hotel room For Sale--good deal

hmmmm wondering if hotel reservations are transferrable....i know airline tickets aren't. does anyone know?

I think that's a good question for priceline, if they absolutely won't let you renege on the deal even with a penalty

Priceline isn't just a reservation, it's prepaid rooms. You bought it, you own it. There are no refunds, even if you don't show up.

I think you can sell them to someone else, however, but don't know how -- surely they will at biddingfortravel.com

That is definitely a 4* hotel (although price seems high), mainly for business travelers, though.
