Interesting Animal in Invermoriston, Scotland?!!

I use Google Maps Street View to look at various streets and highways when looking for travel and route ideas. I chose to look at a street near Invermoriston, Scotland (near Loch Ness), called Great Glen Way. What I saw looks a bit unusual and I supplied a link. WHAT IS THAT?!!! Am I having a 'Nessy' experience from my computer!!

To find it yourself, zoom in on Google maps to Great Glen Way. Drag the 'street view' person in the lower right corner to a spot near the 3rd hairpin turn from A887, and you'll see the photo in the link below!!

I've tried to go forward and backward from the location and I can see something blue, but it's too far away to make it out. If anyone else has any idea to what this could be, I'd love to know.

Help solve the mystery!

I can't tell you what it is, but it's something we saw on television a few years back.

I can't blow to up from your link so I'm not sure, but my guess is its a capercaillie.

The blue is agricultural plastic weighted down with rocks. So possibly a dead animal awaiting collection.
The distorted creature is almost certainly a member of the crow family, looking to get at the carrion.

Just a plastic sack, folded in a way to create an optical illusion.

it's part of the blue marker posts found on the great glen way

looks like a haggis - wee timorous beasties

Okay, my daughter convinced me. I see it now. It's just a blue tarp with rocks or such holding it down, but it does look like the face of some kind of animal to me with the exception of the blue coloring. And no wine was involved when I was looking the first time! Ha ha!

I suspect that most sightings of Nessie are similar - or the result of a few drams too many before heading home.

Not that I refuse to accept the possibility of some creature - but given how many searches have found nothing I am not sanguine.

I actually couldn't get past calling the Great Glen Way a 'street'. It is a long distance walking trail.

It could be a pile of grit sand to be spread onto the hairpin bend when it snows.

I love things like this on google streetmap.

If you use the little man to go onto the roads around Pienza and Montepulicano, the Google car was there at the time of a classic car rally. There are many classic cars on the road at the time the images were captured. Some are rare and very expensive.

Anyone any more good Google street map finds?

It's "Great Glen" Way.

Rather than Great "Glen Way".

We have The Raiders Road in Galloway Forest.

Always made me nervous!
