I recently discovered the pagesjaunes, a wonderful website where you can type in any street in Paris and see actual photos as if you were walking, advance down the street, etc. Does any such thing exist for London?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

I don't have your answer for London - - but www.pagesjaunes.fr really is cool, isn't it.

Essentially, just topping this for you...

Best wishes,

Rex
Hi Polly, yes, there is one for London, too. www.explore-london.co.uk/index.html

Great fun!

You can get some street photos like that of Lonodn at www.digistreets.com. But hurry, it becomes a paid-members-only site next month.

Bonnie - Thanks for the website. Great photos really give one a better idea of what the sites look like.
Well what sets pagesjaunes apart from those similar sites for london is that you can type in an actual street address of ANYTHING in the city (a flat you are considering renting for example, or a hotel) and pan around and check out the 'hood. I found this very helpful when making my hotel reservations last year, and it also helped me avoid a flat I was considering, when I saw the building was covered with graffiti!
Polly,

Nothing to compare with Pagesjeaunes, but for aerial photos tied to maps try:

http://www.multimap.com

Dave White

Is there anything like this for Rome?
Thanks to all who replied. I found digistreets to be the best, and it helped me to understand the postal codes a bit better, too.
