Inline skating routes

I know about the Lake Constance, Elbe, Danube type routes. Any ideas about similar in southern France or Italy?

Flat, off road, 200 to 400 km long

I don't know about any one particular but France has a lot of voie vertes, which you could use: http://www.voiesvertes.com/

France has quite a few - the route from Sarlat to Souillac comes to mind - but I don't know about 200-400 km. I'm talking more about 50-100. I read somewhere recently that France was putting more and more of these in, at quite a fast pace. I believe there are a few on the Atlantic near Bordeaux and the Bassin d'Arcachon, too. If I hear more I'll let you know.

The bicycle paths can be used by inline skaters, so here is a top ten selection: http://www.francevelotourisme.com/co...es-francaises/

Bilbo - the only place I've seen this is in Paris on Sunday mornings - woe betide anyone who gets in their way! but it makes a great spectacle.

Thanks guys, I was aware of many of the cyclable routes in France but I'll dig into the links.

I was looking at the coastal path from Nice into Italy, how much of that is tarmac for instance and separated off?

The famous Euro Velo8 looks like it is still a disaster but any idea how much of it is in place from Turin towards Venice? Articles seem to suggest a fair bit, but still a lot of gravel and busy roads.

The whole "Svizzera mare" looks like a dead duck with a lot of barriered dual carriageway pretending to be a cycle route.
