Injection in Paris
 

My son and his girlfriend are traveling to Paris next week. While there, she will need her birth control injection which she will be bringing with her. Do you have a suggestion where she can have this done? Thank you so much for any help you can provide.

No idea what it is but if nobody has a better idea, I'd say that she goes to a pharmacy. They will know.

As Woin stated - pharmacies in France "do more" than pharmacies in the US (and usually cost less).

Can't she have it done before she leaves? I assume it is Depo-Provera, which needs to be done every 12-13 weeks. I sure a week or two early would not be a problem.
Otherwise she should see if pharmacist can give it her, or can recommend a doctor or nurse who can do it. She will almost certainly have to pay a small fee.
If it is Sayana then she needs to make sure the injection is done under the skin, not into the muscle.

There isn't any reason she shouldn't be able to get that shot now, at home. She needs to talk to her doctor. The main problem is waiting too long to get the shot as coverage can lapse, not getting it a few days early.

If it were Sayana, that is self-injectable anyway.

Shots can be given up to 2 weeks early.

I think she should talk to her doctor about her options.

There was talk of allowing pharmacies to do injections directly, but I don't know if it was finally authorized or not. But in any case, any pharmacy can direct you to the nearest nursing office if necessary.
