Ininerary help - Venice-Cinque Terre-Cote d'Azur

Jump to last reply

I am going to be traveling in Europe for the month of June. Most of the trip has been planned and our reservations have been made, but we're still working on a segment in the middle of the trip. We have 11 days to see Venice, Cinque Terre, and Cote d'Azur. Here is our tentative itinerary:

Days 1-3 in Venice
Day 4 travel by train to Monterosso, arriving around 3 pm
Days 5-6 Cinque Terre (staying in Monterrosso but seeing all five towns)
Day 7 Monterosso to Nice
Days 8-11 Cote d'Azur (staying in Nice but making day trips to nearby towns)

Does that seem like a reasonable way to tackle that part of the trip? I've heard that three days in Venice is perfect (maybe even too much). Cinque Terre seems lovely but two days to explore seems like enough to me. In the Cote d'Azur, we have several towns on our list (Grasse, Eze, St. Paul de Vence, Antibes, not that we'll probably have time for all of them), so I think we can stay busy for four days.

I've thought about maybe taking one day from Cote d'Azur or Venice and giving it to Cinque Terre, but I don't know that there's really that much to do in Cinque Terre. I need to decide soon because we need to book our trains and finalize reservations.

Please share your thoughts!
Thank you!
