Information on Guesthouse in Murren

Has anyone stayed at the Eiger Guesthouse in Murren? Do they have private rooms - double - with bath or shower? Or private rooms with bath down the hall? What is the current rate? Would 70 CHF for a couple sound right? Does the rate include breakfast or is that extra? Do they take credit cards? What kind of a view is it from their location? Thanks for info!!

I haven't stayed there, but Rick Steves says it has doubles with private bath/shower (140 CF) and without (110 CF). Includes breakfast. If you show them your RS book, the double goes for 85 CF.

I haven't stayed at the Eiger Guesthouse, but I have been in their pub and eaten in their restaurant several times (good - would definitely return). It's run by a Scottish guy and his Swiss wife, and they're very friendly, helpful people. The guesthouse is one of the first places you see when you exit the Murren train station.
