Info on Globus tours

I'm going on a Globus tour in late Sept. Can anyone share their experiences with Globus? This will be a 9 day tour. Please help me with what I shouldn't miss. Thanks

Be sure not to miss anything that is worth seeing and don't see anything that is not worth stopping at!

OK OK Going to Rome, Florence, Venice and Pisa. ButI'm really interested in others who have gone with Globus. What should I expect? What kind of hotels do they choose? Are their tour guides knowledgable?

I took a Globus tour of Europe last year and was more than pleased with their product. The hotels were very nice although one or two were located some distance from the local,in town, tourist sights which made it difficult to visit them during your free time. The guide that we had was extremely knowledgable having been on the job for some 18 years.Globus is the upscale part of the Globus/Cosmos company and I was told that all of the Globus guides serve their apprenticeship at Cosmos before promotion to Globus.I'm partial to traveling on one's own but sometimes an escorted tour/trip is helpful on a first visit to "get your feet wet" with a return trip on your own.Have a great trip.
