Inexpensive travelling from Cardiff to London?
Hi,
I´m looking forward to a week in the UK in June. Will be in London and Cardiff - and I´m searching for an inexpensive way to go from Cardiff to London. (On a Thursday, two people single ticket - no return)
Cheapest train tickets I could come up with were 76 pounds for two people. And National Express coaches cost 66 for two.
Can anybody help me? Thanks.
Kascha

Visit www.qjump.co.uk. Depending upon time of day, train company, and how far in advance you buy your ticket, the price can be as low as 10.50 GBP.

Are you sure it's 66 pound for two? I've just run that through the National Express site and got 33 pounds for 2 people, not 33 pounds each. You may have to try a number of different timings, and select e tickets.

For the train: try qjump (www qjump.co.uk, specify advance purchase deals and play with different times.

Oops,
how embarrassing. And at the same time how good: bus fare for both of us is really only 33 pounds.
Thanks for looking it up, flanneruk.

Flying is also an option. You can fly from Cardiff to London City. Lead-in fares are only y19 one way. But then, of course, you have to get to the airport in Cardiff and from the airport in London.
Try www.thetrainline.com for rail tickets. |
