Inexpensive London Hotels

Will be in London for one night, and am looking for an inexpensive hotel. All I require is a safe, clean room, no "frills" needed. Some of the hotels I'm conisdering are ALHAMBRA HOTEL (Bloomsbury), NEW ENGLAND HOTEL, CASWELL HOTEL, and the OAK HOUSE HOTEL. Anyone have any advise on any of these or others? Thanks

Check Tripadvisor.com for comments on the hotels.

I'll be the one to plug Priceline.com this time.

According to www.biddingfortravel.com recent winning bids for 4 star hotels in Central London are:
Mayfair/Soho Waldorf Hilton for $100 (that's USD not GBP)
Bloomsbury/Marble Arch Radisson Edwardian Grafton $110

And I got the Langham Hilton for 2 nights in June for $130 per night.

If you have few requirements, check out the biddingfortravel site to get an idea of what hotels are in what Priceline areas and go for it. You'll get a nicer hotel at a cheaper price. Good luck!

I have stayed at the Oak House. It is by no means glamouous, but it's in a great location and served it's purpose as a budget hotel. Another budget hotel near the Oak House is the Jubilee. I have stayed there a couple of times, I think it's a little better than Oak House. Here's the web page:
