Inexpensive Hotel at Heathrow
 

Thanks for your information. Looking for a hotel that is the least expensive at Heathrow as we fly out in the early morning out of number 2

I stayed at the Premier Inn at Heathrow a few years ago - cheap, cheerful and attached to airport.

Thank you. Could you walk to the airport from there? If not was there a shuttle offered by Premier? I can also look myself. :)

It's connected to the airport, accessed via a walkway from Terminal 4.

No hotels at LHR have shuttles -- it is not allowed. I sometimes stay at the Holiday Inn Express at terminal 4 (is cheap but would cost a bit more than the Premier Inn) - but do realize it is a pretty long walk (covered) into the terminal and then you have to take the Tube or Elizabeth Line to the other terminals. The ride is free but between the walk to terminal 4 and then the long walk at another terminal it will take a while. Just a heads up.

As for the least expensive hotel - there will be several cheaper than a Premier Inn -- Ibis and Travelodges for example. But those not attached to a terminal will require a paid shuttle (£6 per person) or a local bus. What you need to do to find the cheapest options is plug your dates into Booking.com and you'll get tons of options and you can arrange them by price low to high. There are a couple of nearby B&Bs that are very cheap but you might need to take a taxi to the airport.

thank you. I do not know Heathrow yet as we fly into London on April 17 and out on May 7. Good to know there is not a hotel attached to Heathrow at Terminal 2 . i will just look on a booking site to see what's close by with a shuttle.

Oh -- I didn't notice in your OP that you are staying at T-2. The hotel attached to Terminal 2 is usually pretty - like VERY -expensive. Even more than the much more posh Sofitel at Terminal 5. Last time I stayed at LHR (early last Dec) I booked the HIE at T-4 for about £90 - the same night the Hilton Garden Inn at Terminal 2 wanted £246. But all hotels are very date specific so you need to plug in your date.

I often stay at the Hilton at T2 and it's ok and easy to get to from the terminal. I do not know what you consider inexpensive but I usually pay about $225.

We stayed in the Premier Inn night before an early morning flight. It was fine.

Do note there are SIX Premier Inns with 'Heathrow' in their names (maybe even more but I know of 6). Terminal 2/3 (Bath Road); Terminal 4; Terminal 5; M4/J4; Hayes Heathrow (Hyde Park); and Hayes Heathrow (North). These are all different properties/locations.

I’ve stayed 2x at Heathrow Cottages, a B&B not far from the airport. Current prices on their website start at £125 & they offer a free shuttle.

Just looked up which Premier Inn we stayed in. It was the one at Terminal 4. We arrived in T3. Took tram to T4, then walked to the hotel through the airport passageway. It was clearly marked. In the morning it was too early for the shuttle so we arranged for a black taxi the night before.

The hotel has a restaurant and bar. The restaurant was closed when we go there, but the bar had some basic bar food which was adequate.

Just to clarify - there is no 'tram' between any terminals at LHR. You either took the Underground (Tube) or the Elizabeth Line.
