Inexpensive & Good hotel in Rome
 
Any suggestions on 2 star hotels..I am traveling with husband and child 2 yrds old.

Agree w/ Rex. They are VERY selective and make repeated visits to ensure places havn't slipped.

Whatever you do, make sure you avoid 58 Via Cavour - a B&B with a reptutation for dishonesty and poor service.

I liked www.hoteljulia.it (and I've read good things about their adjacent www.domusjulia.it). It's about as inexpensive as you can get for what they offer, and may or may not be in your price range. I'd email them directly for a price quote.
