Indoor temps.?
 

I know all about clothing layering outdoors but I'm wondering about temps. in the museums, restaurants and theaters. I'm sure none are exactly the same - just wondering if most people find them cool,stuffy,drafty,hot,etc.? I'm in the hot-flash years so I'm an expert at quickly stripping off layers and then redressing in a few minutes. Recently went to the theater in N.Y. and was comfortable in a sleeveless top even before the flashes hit. The outside temp. was 30 degrees. I'm ready to start packing for departure in a week so let me know what you think.

I find the temp. inside to be very very warm. Especially dept stores. Like you I can strip down pretty quickly. I usually wear a sleeveless sweater for my bottom layer.

I think it depends on the building. We found most places to be too warm indoors. but there were a couple of hotels (one in York and one in Edinburgh) where I swear they had no heat at all - it was absolutely freezing in the AM (apparently they don;t have our laws about residences being required to be at least 68 degrees during the day).

I found all the stores and museums to be overheated, at least to MY comfort level. Just make sure you can take your coat off if necessary and be comfortable.

Ahhh, hot flash years, something for all young ladies to look forward to..when you can take the dog out on a cold winter night in your shorts and tee shirt :D
Museums can be sort of cool, vast spaces to heat and all that. But small crowded restaurants and stores can be brutally hot and stuffy.
The same with some hotel rooms.
Wear those layers..no wool is really needed if you have your own little heater going..I wear thin cotton tops, with sweaters with jackets, scarves, etc..you get to sort of do a strip tease every time you enter a building LOL
