IN VENICE, FROM THE FERRY TERMINAL TO ST. LUCIA RAIL STATION

The title says it all. We arrive from Porec via ferry at 9:45A and need to get to S.L. station to catch a train to Rome at ll:25. Best way??

as you can see the main ferry docks are smack dab right by the Santa Lucia train station - a short walk - there are probably also water taxis in case you are too laden with stuff to walk.

What ferry line? If it is Venezia Lines (and I think that ferry arrives at 10:45 am, so maybe its a different one) the port is at San Basilio and is some 2 kms from the train station (and the people mover will not help with San Basilio.)

If you do not want to walk you can take the #2 vaporetto from San Basilio to the station (Ferrovia). Make sure to board going in the right direction - facing the Giudecca canal, you want a boat going to the right (destination Lido.)
