in the LOT

Ok, the third time, I am posting this, asking for comments from anyone who has been in the Lot in the village of Les Arques. I read the book, "From here you can almost see Paris"about that place. I'm thinking of stopping there on our trip to try the food in that schoolhouse restaurant.

Unfortunately, I am not an expert on the Lot and its villages, but we passed through the region last year, and thought it was so beautiful, we will return one day. I do not think you can make a mistake by going to the restaurant - food in the French countryside is usually excellent!

I'm in the middle of reading this great book and considering changing our itinerary so that we can dine at La Resto in Sept.
You can read about this book on:

How nice of you to say that, Cigalechanta! I've found very little on Les Arques, etc. using notes from the book. May have to wait until next year's trip. If we do go to your area I'll post something here.

I found some nice photos, the village looks charming, also a site on the Zalkine(sp?) museum. I punched in Les Arques at google.
