In Rome, Albergo Cesari or Santa Chiara
 

I will be in Rome in late March, and would like to stay in one of these hotels. I would like a large double room. Any opinions?

We're been to rome twice in the last two years and stayed once at each of the hotels. they are quite close together and in a great location. You would be happy with either one. They are pretty much the small style and class. I'd take the better deal.

I can't find Santa Chiara on the web. Does anyone have the URL?

Others will say that this is being lecture-y - - but I typed "rome hotel santa chiara" on a Yahoo Search, and it took me directly to http://www.venere.it/roma/santa_chiara/<BR><BR>Now again, you might argue - - well that's the web site ABOUT Santa Chiara on the www.venere.com website - - but I would counter - - that's the power of www.venere.com - - for many hotels, their page there essentially IS their web site.<BR><BR>And it's a reason I put a lot of confidence in it - - not to mention a good dozen or two successful reservations made (and/or cancelled) there.<BR><BR>Best wishes,<BR><BR>Rex<BR>

Oh, and one more thing I meant to add:<BR><BR>The second web site retrieved on the yahoo search was<BR><BR>http://www.twenj.com/romewheels.htm <BR><BR>which of course, has to be amended now to<BR><BR>http://www.twenj.NET/romewheels.htm (upper/lower case not important - - added for emphasis)<BR><BR>... now that the domain name of the web site for Ed'n'Julie has changed. As you can read there, Ed was quite fond of Santa Chiara.<BR><BR>Just as I think highly of Cesari.<BR>
