In and Out of London

Hello - I'm new here. I'll be traveling to London for a month this summer (study abroad) and was wondering about traveling around to other cities. I want to do weekend trips, obviously, and that would involve taking a National Express coach to Stansted for a RyanAir flight. I have a few questions I'd appreciate any help with:

1. Where do the coaches pick people up in the London area?

2. How much time should I leave before my flight between getting my coach and getting to the airport?

3. What can I expect when I reach the airport, say, in Rome? What regulations will I have to go through?

4. How much time does it usually take upon coming back to Stansted from landing to getting back on the coach?

Thank you so much and feel free to email at [email protected]!

I don't know about the National Express coaches, but where will you be? You can take the Stansted Express train from Liverpool Station and of course can get to Liverpool Station from anywhere by tube. The Stansted Express is very frequent.

Clearing "customs" is almost a non issue landing in any of the Western European countries from London.

You need to check with your airline for how long you need before your flight.

There are other bus options from London to Stansted which are cheaper than National Express. See this page for a complete listing of all the ways to get to Stansted: www.londontoolkit.com/travel/stansted.htm.

Liverpool Street Station, Liverpool Street Station

(Liverpool Station is 200 hundred miles away)

The one in Liverpool is known as Liverpool Lime Street. There is a difference! :)

I know merseyheart - what I meant was if someone asks for a ticket to Liverpool station they might have a BIG surprise.
