impressions of disneyland paris?
 

Im planning to go there with my boyfriend during a few days to Paris, is it close to get to from Paris and is it worth going.

Its a waste of time - there are so many better things to see and do in France.

I'm willing to bet the above xxx would find Disneyland and DisneyWorld in the US a waste of time also. If you like Disney, then you'd probably enjoy Disneyland Paris. Yes, it is easy to get to by RER direct from Paris.

Some misguided IBM senior exec booked a conference for a worldwide team I was on a few years ago, based at Disneyland Paris. The hotels looked just like the US which I found disappointing but what was far worse, we hit it during school holiday time and it was nothing but shrieking brats racing rampant through the hotel, hogging the pool, etc. The restaurants, though way off season, were so full every night we couldn't eat until after 10PM and of course why would you want that American-knock off when you are just a few miles from the city! After a night, a few renegades like myself checked out and stayed in Paris based hotels instead. Also much cheaper in Paris! It was a LONNNGGG trip there and back each day but life is too short to miss an evening in Paris to spend it at a grim Disney clone, which nowadays is so popular due to the derth of other similar entertainments in Europe, is always crowded. Fuhgeddabout it.<BR>

Many tourists--French and non-French alike--seem to enjoy Disneyland Paris. <BR><BR>Others, like me, would never even consider going there.<BR><BR>But what a boring world it would be if we all had similar tastes and interests, right? <BR><BR>

25 minutes from Paris with the RER. And no!!! it is not a waste of time. The Disneyland Park (your Magic Kingdom) is a lot nicer and newer in Europe than in Orlando. And the ambience is different.You aleary will remark it at the colors of &quot;Main street USA&quot;. The Studios on the other hand are not really worth the visit(same incomeprice as the Disneyland parc), because to little attractions. They are still working on it.<BR>If you like Disneyland, it is certainly not a waist of time to visit the park. Don't miss the Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain (much better than in Fl.)Indiana Jones... Go for it! And if you really want to visit the studios: don't forget the rock and rollercoaster, the stuntshow and Armageddon. All the rest is boring. Dear Sandy:<BR><BR>I think what many people reading your message are struggling with is the combination of &quot;boyfriend in Paris&quot; and &quot;Disneyland.&quot; If I was taking my boyfriend to Paris (clearly one of the most romantic cities in the world), I would be concentrating on walking along the Seine at night, kissing him on the top of the Eiffel Tower, taking a night or daytime boat trip down the Seine, strolling hand in hand in the parks, drinking wine while sitting in little cafes on the Left Bank, etc; which you cannot do anywhere else. You can always go the Main Street USA at Disneyworld in Orlando or even Paris sometime in the future with your kids....

If you and your boyfriend have only a few days in Paris, why spend your time going to Disneyland Paris? There are many things to see and do in Paris that a few days won't even cover. If you live in the US, can't you postpone your Disneyland trip until you get back home?
