Love Italy, one thing you can say about limoncello-it's pretty fattening-no diet drink there!

My boyfriend and I make our own. It's very easy to make, and much better than the stuff you get in the stores ;-)

Hard to describe the taste of Limoncello. Very lemony, sweet. There is the alcohol taste without the "burning" you would get if you drank Lemon vodka straight. It feels thicker and smoother on the tongue than vodka or rum.

Just shared some yesterday with the other two members of the TN Trio of Terror. They helped me move furniture so it was only polite that I offered them some. Never thought about putting it in my tea but I love that idea!

"Never thought about putting it in my tea but I love that idea!"

Or on angel food cake! What splendid ideas!!

diddl_maus, I have to disagree. I don't discern any alcohol taste which is what makes limoncello soooo dangerous! :) To me, it's like a syrupy heady lemonade.

There's a recipe for limoncello, and also some recipes using limoncello as an ingredient, in tomorrow's (Nove. 6, 2005) New York Times magazine section, which should be delivered today if you have home delivery, and will be avaialble for anyone to access online tomorrow (or maybe today).

Hi,
Limoncello is wonderful. But if you are not much of a drinker be careful. It makes me very mellow very quickly. It is a great way to keep a dinner party going with a "who cares" attitude.

thank you Miz S, I saw the suggestion above for putting limoncello in hot tea, sounds like a wonderful idea for my drippy congested head. On second thought, who needs the tea?
:)

Wow!

Exactly elaine, tea will only dilute the good stuff :D
