Has anyone stayed at the Illio Maris Hotel in Mykonos. It is a hotel near town. Was this a nice hotel? Please let me know your opinion. <BR> <BR>Thanks, <BR>Margaret

The IlioMaris hotel is located in the Despotiko area of the town i.e. close to its centre and on an incline overlooking the town and the west bay. <BR> <BR>The hotel is B class (3 star) and has a small(ish) number of rooms. <BR> <BR>Good things about the IlioMaris is its closeness to the windmills (10 minutes walk through a very pretty part of the town), the bus station is a 5 minutes walk and the town centre and harbour area 15 minutes. The local Olympic Aviation office is only a few minutes away. The journey time from the airport is about 8 minutes. Also, I recommend a stroll along Ag Ionnou which starts almost on your hotel's doorstep. This road circles the town at almost its highest point and the views are spectacular. <BR> <BR>If I had any criticism of the hotel's location it would be its closeness to a large number of moped rental agencies. You will not be troubled whilst in your hotel but the junction closeby where the agencies are located is a busy one and the noise could be irritating. Bill <BR> <BR>The restaurant areas begin after about a 5 minute walk south from the hotel into the town (just past the little bus station). <BR> <BR>There are many restaurants there and even more so the further into the centre you walk. <BR> <BR>Happy to give you a couple of recommendations if you wish. <BR> <BR>Regards, <BR> <BR>Bill
