Ile St Lous Self Guided Walking Tour
Can anyone recommend a website, guidebook or map I can buy that has a self guided walking tours of Ile St Louis & Ile Cite. I thought Fodors or Frommers would have things of this nature but I haven't been able to locate one.
Thank you.
Thank you.

I thought those books had them also, but I haven't looked in them for a while. Or do you mean they just don't have one of the Ile?
The Michelin Green Guide has walking tours of many sections of Paris, check them. There are also a couple specialized guidebooks on that I've seen in stores, I'd check a bookstore so you can see better.

Try and browse a copy of
Pariswalks, that's one good book.
Frommers also has book of walking itineraries of Paris, a nice balance with not overwhelming detail, called
Memorable Walks in Paris or something similar.
Then there's another very detailed one I have by Desmons, called Walking Paris. Almost too much detail, it seems like every building on every street in every planned walk is discussed, but if you like detail, that's the one.

Try "Walks in the Unknown Paris".

They have one for Ile Saint Louis. http://www.parisinconnu.com/promenades/p2p6us.htm
Click on the names of places on the text and the photo will appear.

Hi S,
Don't miss the gelato at Amorino, 47 rue Saint Louis en L’Ile. Much better than the Berthillon ice cream.
Directly across from Amorino is a shop that sells foie gras de canard right from the farm.

MEMORABLE WALKS IN PARIS (Frommer) has excellent walks of both Ile St. Louis and Ile de la Cite.
DK EYEWITNESS PARIS has one of Ile St. Louis.
PARIS 2005 (Rick Steves)includes a very detailed walk of the Cite, titled "Historic Paris Walk".
All are great and we used them on our last month's trip.

I have found through research (not experience, quite yet) that Michelin Guide and Rick Steves have thorough walks. It helps to have a Streetwise Paris Map when you're researching/reading.
Also, Degas is a poster here on this forum who has good threads on Paris Walks. Search his name and you should find them.
