Il Bosco Della Ragnaia near San Giovanni D'Asso

I am thinking of stopping here for a visit on a day trip from Montepulciano on our way to Abbazia Monte Oliveto Maggiore. It looks really interesting and unique.
Has anyone visited here? What did you think?

Thanks.

I've been there. It is an interesting visit and I think you should stop. It's right on the road, just outside of town. There is a sign marking the entrance to parking and wandering the park is easy. Because so few people are aware that the gardens even exist, you will probably have the place all to yourself.

Let me know if you have any specific questions.

Thanks zoecat.

Do you think an hour would be enough time to get a feel for the place?

Yes, an hour is fine. You can always return for more- it's always open.

zoecat, we went there today and are so glad we did!

Besides the wooded area there is a large semi formal garden layed out in geometric patterns and planted with all sorts of shrubs and trees.

Really amazing.
