If you have a question-ask me I know EVERYTHING!!!

As I said, I know it all...

Ask away!!

Besse

Rex Mar 11th, 2001 01:45 PM

How many (Pompous Ass) angels can dance on the head of a (Fodors logo ribbon) pin?

I need to know. I am designing the pin and I don't want to get it wrong!

Best wishes,

Rex
Besse R. Wisser Mar 11th, 2001 01:54 PM

As a matter of fact Rex, the correct number is seven. But, then you already knew that, did you not? ;-)

Besse
I give up Mar 11th, 2001 02:07 PM

THIS is exactly the reason to STOP using Fodors completely!

Trolls or non-trolls, people like you use it to feed your "I am the KING of the world" syndromes and need to express to the world my 'I know everything' versus sharing any experience or knowledge about your travel experiences to those seeking answers.

No matter how big or small the knowledge one has you spent valuable time pushing one another's buttons, belittling those who attempt to share anything you don't deem worthy, and wasting this message board space.

I am all for free speech, but find another place to use it...take it outside and get a life.

Kudos to those readers who have the good sense to read past your garbage to get to real answers about TRAVEL.

Rex Mar 11th, 2001 02:16 PM

How laughable to say that you are "for free speech" - - as long as you can't hear or see any of it!

I provide more REAL ANSWERS to TRAVEL QUESTIONS than anything.

Skip the threads you don't want to read.

Why did you even stop on this thread anyway?

Tell it to someone who is "not deaf". Your protests are words of encouragement to me.

Froggishly yours...

Rex
liz Mar 11th, 2001 02:27 PM

Bravo Rex!

Anon. Mar 11th, 2001 02:51 PM

Dear I give up,

Woops, I guess you are NOT one of those sensible readers who reads past the garbage to get to the real travel information.

I also think this thread is really silly and that some of the people who post these things are pretty self-absorbed. But so what? My silliness and self-absorption is different from theirs, and I have an absolute right to be silly on my own time.

Is there some way that another person's wasting time here harms you (or worse yet, ME)? Do you pay by the minute or by the page for your internet usage? How very, very strange and sad it must be to be so enraged about some stranger's playing on a little patch of cyberspace.

Erin Mar 11th, 2001 04:29 PM

Hi Besse. I'm so glad you made this topic--my own topics that I start keep disappearing and I don't know why. Anyway, do you know a lot about Ireland? I have a question about luggage and public transportation I hope you can answer. I will be traveling by bus around Ireland for 2 months an I was just wondering what the best type of luggage is for "easy" travel. Thanks!

Rex Mar 11th, 2001 05:56 PM

Erin, sweetie - - you can't possibly think that anyone will find your question here. And if you can't find your own question, what makes you think you will find this thread either!?

Your question has been re-posted, and hopefully it will attract some useful answers for you.

I have posted plenty enough about "my rules" of luggage - - but if you want to see that advice, write to me and I will help you find that too.

Paternalistically yours...

Rex
StCirq Mar 11th, 2001 07:35 PM

Really? Well, troll (and this is a question a troll should well be able to answer):

Please give directions to the secret door to the prehistoric abri that lies between St-Léon-sur-Vézère and Castel-Merle.

Thanks so much :)!

Your Poor Mar 11th, 2001 08:14 PM

REX! Go back to your room!

Erin Mar 11th, 2001 09:56 PM

Thank you, father Rex. I actually found my post where I asked the same questions--I guess it took a while for people to answer it. I naively thought (and still think) that since Besse said she knew everything, that she does!! So Besse, if you still want to answer my question, I would appreciate it!

Do these pants make me look fat?

Pennypincher Mar 12th, 2001 04:59 AM

How can I travel to Europe for free, including air fare, hotels and food?

Rex Mar 12th, 2001 05:06 AM

Get a job that requires travel to Europe from you. Do you meet the requirements to become a flight attendant?

Though I'm not sure they pay for ALL meals while you are there.

Tony Mar 12th, 2001 06:05 AM

Hello. I have a few questions that you might answer.
Can I get a visa for Yugoslavia in Bosnia, or Croatia (EU person)?
How much should I spend per day in Bulgaria, and Turkey?

cheers.

pam Mar 12th, 2001 06:35 AM

Besse,
I have two questions.
What is the meaning of life?
Why can't we all just get along?
Thanks in advance.
lonely Mar 12th, 2001 06:38 AM

Why have I not met the man of my dreams yet?

Oh I forgot, this is a travel forum.

Will I meet him when I go abroad next month?

xxx Mar 12th, 2001 06:39 AM

I don't know if this an actual expression in German or not, but Besse R. Wisser sounds like someone means "besserwisser" or roughly "better-knower". Is this an actual German expression for "know-it-all"?

Very nice, Tyrol...
er, make that tyrrrrrrrrrollllll...
zzz Mar 12th, 2001 06:40 AM

Dear lonely:

Signs point to yes.

Answers like this have done very well for me in my Nasdaq-laden investment portfolio over the past year.

Not.
