Rothenburg ob der Tauber isn't feasible for a day trip from Salzburg. You're talking a minimum of three changes of trains and almost five hours one way.
I also recommend that you forget Neuschwanstein as a daytrip from Salzburg. Herrenchiemsee is a good alternative to Neuschwanstein.
