Quebec, Oh, to have that much time. The longest vacation I have ever had was three weeks but still believe that it would depend on how you like to travel. I call it either vertical or horizontal travel, that is, really explore one country or area in depth or move about and across Europe. Chaque a chaque. I agree with the advice to break up the trip. What I would do would be to spend two weeks in France and two weeks in Ireland. Assuming one of these areas met my fancy I would go back there for the remaining four weeks. I choose France and Ireland because they are my personal preferences. You could substitute other countries. We go to Provence each year and each year we find new things to see and do. In addition, we have made friends and contacts that are fun to see each year. I read a lot about the places I travel to and I rent films of the areas during the winter. Since I am a francophile I am reading DeGaulle's memoirs and "From Here Yyou Can't See Paris". I have read Flaubert, de Maupassant et al, and much of the literature about WW II and France. Regardless of where you go and for how long do not program every minute. Let the country (ies) come to you. You are lucky person to be allotted the generous time. Good luck!
