If you could pick a favorite country...
 

As I prepare for my third trip to Italy, I have to say it is my favorite place to visit--delicious food, friendly people, fantastic scenery, etc.

That's great. I'll just pop over to France for the same reasons.

And I would have to say Austria for the same reasons as well.

Molvania, for the same reasons

The UK. And, truly, for the same reasons.

New Mexico has all those and more - it makes Molvania look very dull and expensive by comparison and you can use american dollars to boot.

Other than the U.S. it would be France:

-for Normandy, its battlefields and cemeteries; for its friendly and appreciative people.
-for its art (Musee D'Orsay) and culture (Saint Chapelle; Chartres)
-for the cuisine
-for Provence
-for Paris
-for its generally courteous people

Politically, today's France, however, would be at the bottom of my list.

France, for the food & wine alone...
