OK, I get to go first~ I would like to be in Paris right now, sitting down to eat dinner at Le Violin D'Ingres, being waited on by perfect waiters, eating perfect food, drinking perfect wine then bundling up and taking a walk along the Seine with my husband afterwards (he being a perfect husband also)..back to our room, planning tomorrows activities..C

Since I live in Seattle, anywhere where it wasn't raining incessantly. :~)

Having a margarita (or many) and basking in the sun on the beach in Zihuatenejo sounds pretty nice this time of year.

Cozy farmhouse in Chianti in front of a fire, with some excellent Chianti of course! Any let's just through in Robert Redford for some interesting conversation.....

Since it is winter, I believe that I would like to stay in Cyprus....see the ruins of castles, fortresses, monasteries...sit in a cafe and watch the crowds and traffic around me....

Paris. Sitting in a neighborhood bistro, perhaps La Fontaine de Mars, having a cassoulet and a nice red wine.

Or in Skopje with our family -- just enjoying each other's company.

Right now I'd like to be somewhere warm and sunny. Florida maybe, or on a Caribbean Island lazing around feeling the warm wind around my bare legs and arms - such bliss. Winter here is so boring.

Marsha Jan 13th, 2002 01:13 PM

I'm with "C" and S. Fowler: Paris, having supper at some quaint place, and then taking a walk along the Seine.

Cass Jan 13th, 2002 01:17 PM

In Amsterdam on a night time canal cruise, eating Droste chocolate pastilles or chocolates from Puccini.

I recently read on a french site the Mimosa festival is about to begin around the Nice area. Mimosa is one of my favorite flowers, so I would love to be there.

Hands Down it would be walking the canals and streets of St. Petersburg in Russia just after coming out of The Hermitage........even in the winter!!

It is my lifelong dream to visit Egypt. I am fascinated with the Pyramids and learning about their advanced way of life so many years ago. It may be years until I get there now... If I could I'd be on a fantastic tour seeing all the places I've imagined.

Judy Jan 13th, 2002 01:48 PM

After reading today's Sunday Travel section, I would like to do the Normandy beaches, Deauville, Honfluer and environs.

Annette Jan 13th, 2002 01:54 PM

Right this very minute? I'd like to be transported to Mazatlan, Mexico. Not a very "classy" place, but I like it. I'd swim in the huge pool of the Costa de Oro resort; body surf in the waves; eat lobster and shrimp; drink beer; take a pulominia open air taxi downtown and listen to a marachi band in the zocalo or go to the bars with my husband and listen to some very loud music.

Wait a second! I see Capo said something similar only he's choosing to kick back in Zihuatenejo. Well, I'll take good old Mazatlan but I bet you can tell I'm from Washington--dizzle, dizzle, pour, pour--State too.
