Just daydreaming - wondering about flying to Edinburgh for a longish weekend. This weekend. Preferably starting a couple of days early.
Anyone else want to play?

We have enough FF points left from my years of business travel for one more, anywhere in the world on business class, blowout vacation. We thought about South Africa, and even had tickets reserved, but had to cancel for personal reasons. Now we're putting together a trip that includes a return to Venice, a cruise in the Greek Isles, and a week in Istanbul. How did we decide on Turkey? It had been on and off our trip list for years,,,,as a matter of fact, we had booked a flight there about 15 years ago, but cancelled in favor of Thailand. So, checking our bucket list and longevity of preferred sites, we made our decision. Sort of answers your question, doesn't it?
Great question, BTW.

Lots of choices. Need more time to see them all.
Had a friend who spent some time on Naxos over the summer, she had a great time. Turkey is also very appealing.
Vegas is one of those places I feel should probably go to at some point, just to say I have been there, but I think a long weekend would be enough to satisfy my curiosity.
skyking: You are probably right, but the Europe forum is basically the only forum I post in, so here is where it placed.
Oh, as an FYI, some daydreams do happen. I booked the flight and hotel tonight, I leave for Edinburgh in less than 3 days.

I was thinking the same thing 12 days ago when Air France announced a fall sale from Washington, DC to Paris. $696 RT including taxes. I booked it! I leave a week from today! Ah Paris! My favorite city any time of year.
