If there are no responses to my question after a day should I try again?

How long does one wait before posting again? Patience is not my strong suit. I'm working on it. Of course now I will get a response and I have to step away from my computer.

I assume you are talking about a reply to another thread an not this one.

Whatever you do, don't start a new post. You can add a reply to your original post to "top" it. A simple "any more?" or "thank you" (for the responses you get) or even "ttt" (to the top) will bring your question to the front of the line. Everyone has a different time frame, but I usually wait at least a day, perhaps topping the post at a different time of day, as everyone checks in at different times.

Oh, and if you have trouble finding your original post, just click on your name at the upper left part of the screen (once you're logged in).

I looked at the question and decided that it would be a miracle if you did get an answer. Some questions are outside the scope of knowledge of 99% of the people on this forum.

I have no clue how to answer. None!

Yes I was talking about a reply to another thread. I can't seem to get any responses on a couple of questions about Portugal. I made the mistake of posting a question twice last night, now I know- is is obviously not well recieved.
Thanks for the help.
Now to find a knowlegeable soul whose niche is Portugal.

Hi Bob. Did you look at my Portugal question or at my question about getting an answer to my question?

suze Jun 7th, 2005 02:56 PM

click on your name (underlined after the word Author)

this will bring up a list of all your previous posts on the left of your screen

add *anything* as a new reply and it will bring that post to the number 1 position of the list

Thanks for helping.
