Thanks for the suggestion, E. I checked out the Pantheon (by "unknown") in Rome, one of my favorite architectural treasures. Am interested in other people's favorite European edifices..., and yours.

I haven't seen that many European architectural wonders yet, but so far I'm partial to the Parthenon. Great pictures of it at this site. Thanks, Elvira.

Did you notice there are serious moves afoot to canonise Gaudi!

Don't know if you love Gaudi or not Frank, but he is indeed one of the great artists of Europe. Barcelona is Barcelona because of him and I can't think of a recent architect, including Wright or Gehry who has had as much effect on a place.
