Identifying a proper Pompeii guide

Do they wear a badge or something to distinguish them? Any comments about guides are welcome. I have already done a search.

We've taken the tour twice and on our first cruise we had a tour guide by the name of Enzo who was wonderful. Reminded me of Dean Martin. Just as laid back and funny as you would ever want and very informative. I don't remember the name of the tour company he worked for but Enzo we'll never forget.

Believe me these tour guides have a way of finding you. We had read (here on this board), that private guides for hire, stand outside the entrance to the ruins. We looked around and asked around. None could be found. We walked into the actual site, before we barely took a step, a group tour guide invited us to join his group (minimal fee and didn't charge for our kids). He was also a very entertaining guide. I think his name was luigi. I think he did have some form of tour guide ID.
