Ideas on how to get from Glasgow to Reims

I am planning a few days in Scotland next spring and am thinking about moving on from there to look at some more Great War battlefields west of Verdun. I am looking at Reims as the place where I would rent a car and start touring.

As things stand now, I expect to finish my Scotland leg in Glasgow, which raises the question: has anyone any suggestions on how to get from Glasgow to Reims? I should mention that I am not necessarily time nor cost driven, in the sense that it does not have to be the fastest or cheapest way. Convenience, in the sense of reasonable connections, is more important, I think. So far my mind has tilted towards trains, but that would involve three trains and two station transfer, I think. Can anyone suggest an air routing?

With vague promises of another Great War trip report, this time looking at where the Americans fought ...

Fly to Paris from Glasgow or Edinburgh then take a train from there

According to www.whichbudget.com, FLybe/Loganair will get you from Glasgow to CDG for 19 euro, or from Glasgow Prestwick to Paris Beauvais for 17 euro. Then a train to Reims.

For the convenience I would pick up a car where you land and drive from there.

I agree with alanRow, I thought there were budget flights from Glasgow, and then you'd take the train or get a car to Reims. What else would you do, I don't even think there could be any other option. Sure, you could spend a lot more time taking the train to London (or flying there from Glasgow) and then taking the Eurostar, etc. But aren't those your only choices?
