Ideas on hotel at Gatwick for one night ?
 

We are ending our 2 week trip at Gatwick. We have a 10:00 am flight the next morning. Any rec. on a way to get a 3 or 4* reasonably ?

The Jarvis (it may have rebranded by now though) is fine. Free shuttle bus service to and from the airport plus free parking (if needed) for up to a fortnight.

It's corporate and boring, but scarily efficient - eg the plumber came to unblock our toilet within 2 mins of us phoning! If you are clever/devious enough you can tag onto the numerous 'emergancy' buffets held throughout the night for people whose flights have been cancelled.

PS - Think it might be the Ramada now? Someone will be along in a minute to confirm or refute that no doubt..... 8-)

Our party of six stayed at the Renaissance (a hotel in the Marriott group) our last night before our return flight to the US in June 2007. We were very pleased with the helpful employees at the front desk. The hotel was very clean and tastefully decorated. The rooms were large and very comfortable. It was nice to be able to control the air conditioning directly in our own room. The hotel is a five minute shuttle ride from the airport (the shuttle does cost 2.50 pounds for adults and 1.5 pounds for children). The only thing that I would say was a negative was that the cost of breakfast seemed quite high (we opted to get something to eat at the airport) although I've read reviews talking about how great the food is. All in all, we were very pleased and would definitely go back.

Another possibility would be the Arora International which is in nearby Crawley and has a direct walkway to the also nearby Crawley railway station platform.

They provide complimentary shuttle service to the airport.

We stayed one night a couple of years ago and found the rooms clean, comfortable, and the hotel itself is quite modern.

Got the Arora International by bidding Priceline 4*. It's quite decent. For the price we paid, it's fabulous.
