Ideas for Copenhagen and Stockholm
 

Hi, So far we have the usual plans recommended in any travel book such as Tivoli but would love to hear fun ideas for the whole family in Copenhagen (4 days traveling with kids) besides Legoland. Stockholm will have a week and hit Djurgarden museums, old town, city...what other side trips via boat do you recommend? thanks much

We enjoyed seeing Roskilde with its cathedral and Viking museum from Copenhagen (short drive or train trip) and Uppsala near Stockholm (university, cathedral, interesting open air museum

The Viking Museum in Roskilde has outdoor exhibits of craftsmen, games, and boat rides in replica Viking ships where everyone takes an oar. It might be that some of this stuff only happens on weekends at certain times of the year.
