I will put it nicely, but I do hope the poster returns and realizes we have all traveled to these places and know that 1 day in Nice or 2 days in Paris mean very little. It's been our experience, after almost 40 trips to Europe, that less places and time to sit at a bar or cafe are worth more than a list of places with no time to see them. Nice is wonderful, an ideal spot to visit beautiful beach towns and hill towns, but even nicer when the weather is wonderful. You can see so much by using buses and trains. All buses to surrounding towns are 1 euro.
A first trip to Paris merits 5 days, so much to love.

Nothing is at all 'rude' about posting something will feel like a forced march.

No need to say a forced march - there are other words that would not offend a first time posterer - who definitely was offended - right?

I too am a FodorGarch - someone who has posted a long long time and a lot - these are the real value of Fodor's because they have some an eclectic wealth of info - almost on anything - yet some FodorGarchs post with an attitude that their way is the only way and anything else is 'beyond crazy' which one Fodorgarch posted to a newbie's plan not long ago (willo not name to protect the guilty!)

I am just saying and have always said that we should be polite to newcomers and understand that they do not always have a good grip on reality as we did not either probably when planning our first European trips and we forget that at times.

Kinder gentler upbraiding IMO (in my opinion).

But rudeness is indeed in the ear of the beholder!
