Iceland with a Cruise - July 2020
 

We will be in Iceland on a Celebrity Reflection Cruise in July 2020.
Reykjavik - 1 1/2 days
Akureyri - 6 hours

Looking to put together a tour with private guides instead of using a Celebrity Excursion.

Any suggestions or recommendations will be greatly appreciated

We did a private day tour this past July with Tours By Locals. It was excellent and would highly recommend them . We just had a 24 hour stopover with my daughter and two grandsons ages 13 and 14 . Our guide Dorfri created an excellent itinerary. Not what I had originally planned which was doing part of the Golden Circle, but his was far better suited for us, and he was especially engaging with the boys.

My husband and I had done a 8 day private tour in 2016 with another company which was IMO extremely disappointing for the money. So glad I went with tours by locals this time.

We have used Graylines twice .

We have also used Grayline and did the Golden Circle tour one day. Excellent! You could also rent a car and drive yourself while in Reykjavik.
