Family of 4 on brief tour of Iceland. Suggestions for activities around Reykjavik? Information about Hotel Saga?

We visited Reykjavik, Iceland in early Dec. 1996. It was a very interesting experience and we had a good time. We stayed at the Hotel Esja which is owned by Icelandair as I think the Saga is too. Very nice accomodations and very nice people. Everyone, it seems speaks English. We took a number of tours--City, Golden Circle and Blue Lagoon. These tours give a very good over-view of the area--sights, culture, history and lifestyles of the people. It was quite cold and at times very windy but it was a most enjoyable experience.
I wish you a good trip [bring your bathing suit] and hope you enjoy the country as much as we did.
