Iceland: Keflavik Airport into Reykjavik
 

What is the best (and least expensive) way to get from Keflavik airport to downtown Reykjavik? Flybus? Taxi? We are 4 travelers. We don't wish to have a rental car.

And can we find krona-dollar exchange in the airport at midnight?

If flying Icelandair do not they have a special deal along with tickets.

The Flybus is pricey. For Mom + Dad + Teen1 + Teen2 =$84 each way. I wonder...can I get a taxicab to drive me to the city for less than $84? Any ideas as to taxicab fare?

(Flybus only stops at one terminal in Reykjavik, too.)

Ooops. Cost for Flybus turned out to be $59 for four of us. Not too bad. Flybus whisks you downtown in about 45-50minutes. We switched into a mini-van at the Reykjavik bus terminal in order to get to our rental cottage down by the harbor, near the youth-hostal stop. All very simple and easy.
On the way out...an on-time 4:30am pickup! Thanks Flybus.
