IC trains, 1st class or 2nd?

Taking the train from Berlin to Prague via Dresden. Is 1st class worth it for 20 euros more? What are the main differences btw 1st and 2nd class? Thanks.

For just €20 more, I'd take 1st class.
It's not totally necessary, but you have more space. Seating is 2-1, instead of 2-2; at least on the cars from German Rail, don't know about Czech Railways cars. And 1st usually sees fewer passengers than 2nd so it's usually quieter.

Please ignore this thread, I accidentally typed IC trains instead of EC trains in the title, I started a new thread because of this, to benefit those who may be looking for the same info and to avoid confusion. Here's the link:-

Thanks, Cowboy1968. We were posting at the same time.

Either one is OK but of course first class is more comfortable. The EC train into the Czech Republic is not as nice as the german ICE train and about equal or slightly better than the average German IC in my experience.
