Ibiza Hotels

I have been to Ibiza and I am trying to help a friend find a hotel. When I went I found a hotel at the last minute and wasn't terribly impressed with the hotel but had a great time. I stayed in Ibiza town and payed about $125 a night for nothing very impressive. My friends want their hotel to be where most of the young people are and to be easy access to the beaches/clubs. They want to spend a low to moderate amount of money on hotel accomodations. Any suggestions for hotels or apartment rentals would be very help. Thanks in advance!

Your friends need to stay in San Antonio. They might be able to find somewhere to stay at Ibiza online -
http://www.ibiza-online.com
Playa d'en Bossa is the place to be, less than 10 min. by car / 30 min. walk from Ibiza old town.
It has great beaches, lots of hotels in all price ranges, clubs, bars, etc. and a very young atmosphere.
Here's a good website: http://www.ibiza-spotlight.com/playa_den_bossa_i.htm

Since you have been there before, you know Ibiza is not that large. This island is only 45 km long and 25 km wide so taking a bus or taxi will usually get you anywhere in less than an hour.

However, you would probably not want an hour ride to your lodging after a long night dancing/partying.

I suggest getting lodging in Ibiza Town (there are different areas on the island). Avoid staying in San Antonio unless there are no other accommodations.

As for hostels on Ibiza try hostal la marina http://www.ibiza-spotlight.com/hosta...ina/home_i.htm (located in the middle of all the chaos down in the port). The cheapest you will pay during June 15- July 14 is 30 Euro per night (for a single room with shared bath) and the price for the same thing from July 15-August 31 is 35 Euro.

Some more cheap lodging for Ibiza is listed at http://www.ibiza-spotlight.com/hoteles/ibiza_hoteles_e.htm

These are not fancy hotels and they are geared more for the backpacker who just needs a place to crash. If that's all that your friend needs, then it would be crazy to pay $125 for a hotel.
I hated San Antonio, but loved the Santa Eulalia area.
