IBIS milano Centrale
I've found a good rate this hotel (by reserving 2 months in advance) . What's yours opinion about the area and, of course, the hotel ?
Thanks |
Don't know about the hotel, but what do you want to do in Milano?
The train station area is one of the least attractive areas of the city. Some people are unnerved by the apparent seediness, but it's not unsafe. There are very few good restaurants in the area. What did you consider a "good rate"? And have you checked reviews on Tripadvisor or venere.com? |
Just to be my base for a 3 nights stay. I want to see Duomo, Victorio Emanuelle, Castle, Michele Angelo, and spend one day in the lake.
The good rate is 60 Euros by night (for a couple without breakfast) |
As a base for a 3 night stay, you'll want to be someplace more uplifting than the train station area despite that admittedly good rate -- unless you tell me that you really don't care, that you're big city people who don't mind grot and sketchy looking characters.
Also, have you checked out reviews on Tripadvisor? Or used the venere.com website or eurocheapo? Don't stay in a Milan hotel without first checking reviews. |
Thanks zeppole. I'm a city person (Lisbon) but I'd preferd to pay a litle more and stay in a good area.
I've heard about brera what you think? |
The area of the Brera and the via Brera are delightful places to be in Milano. If there is a hotel with that name, however, I don't know it.
Often the area is expensive. If you a good deal there, and find good reviews for a hotel there you can afford, it's a wonderful part of the city. |
